**Job Title:** Data Scientist – Generative AI / LLM
**Role Summary:** Freelance data scientist responsible for designing, building, and industrializing large language model (LLM) solutions, including question‑answering assistants, RAG pipelines, and agentic workflows, for a banking client. The role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders and LLMOps best‑practice implementation.
**Expectations:**
- 2–5 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or artificial intelligence.
- Proven ability to develop end‑to‑end LLM applications in real projects.
- Fluency in English; ability to participate in meetings in French or Dutch.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Design and implement LLM applications (QA, assistants, document understanding, decision support).
2. Build and optimize Retrieval‑Augmented Generation pipelines (data ingestion, chunking, vector search, evaluation).
3. Develop agentic workflows using LangChain, LangGraph, or equivalent (tools, multi‑step flows, orchestration).
4. Translate business requirements into technical GenAI solutions and present results to non‑technical stakeholders.
5. Explain prompt engineering concepts and best practices to business users.
6. Contribute to LLMOps, including monitoring, evaluation, cost control, and performance optimization.
**Required Skills:**
- Strong Python programming and deep learning framework proficiency (PyTorch/TensorFlow).
- Hands‑on experience with generative AI models (GPT, open‑source Transformers, etc.).
- Practical knowledge of LangChain, LangGraph, or similar LLM application frameworks.
- Solid experience with RAG techniques and vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS).
- Familiarity with prompt engineering and clear communication of technical concepts.
- Optional: experience with Azure or other major cloud platforms, MLOps/LLMOps (MLflow, CI/CD, monitoring).
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Scientist Associate, TensorFlow Certified Developer) are a plus but not mandatory.
