We offer comprehensive building services maintenance with the support of our 24 hour emergency call out service, 365 days a year. Job Description
Job Title: Support Engineer Supervisor Role Summary: Lead and coordinate the mechanical and electrical support engineering team responsible for the maintenance, repair, and performance optimisation of high‑value building assets, ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client service level agreements. Expactations: • Deliver on schedule, high‑quality engineering support to maximise client satisfaction. • Maintain safety and regulatory compliance across all maintenance operations. • Drive continuous improvement and cost optimisation initiatives. • Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performance team of support engineers. Key Responsibilities: • Supervise day‑to‑day operations of the support engineering team, assigning workloads and monitoring progress. • Plan, schedule, and prioritise maintenance tasks, including preventive, predictive, and corrective actions. • Ensure adherence to safety procedures, health & safety regulations, and quality assurance protocols. • Liaise with clients and site managers to address technical issues, provide status updates, and manage expectations. • Analyse performance data, generate reports, and recommend improvements to processes, tools, and procedures. • Manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and consumables needed for support engineering activities. • Provide guidance and technical support to engineering staff during complex troubleshooting. • Coordinate with procurement, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve supply chain or vendor issues. • Champion training and professional development initiatives to keep the team’s technical skills current. Required Skills: • Strong technical knowledge of building mechanical and electrical systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical distribution, fire suppression, etc.). • Proven supervisory and leadership skills with experience managing engineering teams. • Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and decision‑making abilities. • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills. • Proficiency in using CMMS/energy management systems and Microsoft Office Suite. • Understanding of safety standards, regulations, and certifications (NEBOSH, Code of Practice, etc.). Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related technical field. • Relevant professional certifications (NEBOSH, ISO 9001 Quality Management, PMP, or equivalent). • Valid driving licence preferred.
