**Job title:** Business Development Manager – Hazardous Waste **Role Summary:** Drive new business growth and revenue generation for the hazardous waste sector through proactive prospecting, relationship building, and strategic sales initiatives. Deliver sales results by managing the complete sales cycle, from lead generation to contract negotiation, while maintaining compliance with industry regulations. **Expectations:** - Achieve and exceed sales targets and revenue goals. - Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified prospects. - Effectively manage and grow existing customer accounts. - Represent the company at industry events and trade shows. - Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored solutions. - Provide accurate forecasting and regular sales performance reporting. **Key Responsibilities:** - Conduct market research and identify new business opportunities within the hazardous waste industry. - Prospect and qualify leads through cold calling, networking, and digital channels. - Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals. - Negotiate terms, pricing, and contract agreements. - Close sales and meet monthly/quarterly quotas. - Develop and maintain long‑term relationships with key stakeholders. - Coordinate with operations, logistics, and compliance teams to ensure seamless service delivery. - Track sales activities in CRM; generate pipeline reports. - Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and competitive landscape. **Required Skills:** - Proven sales experience (3+ years) in business development or B2B sales. - Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. - Ability to manage a full sales cycle independently. - Familiarity with hazardous waste, environmental compliance, or related industrial sectors. - Proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot). - Self‑motivated, results‑driven, and adaptable to changing priorities. - Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities. - Team collaboration and cross‑functional coordination. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. - Professional certifications in sales or environmental compliance (e.g., Certified Professional Sales Person – CPSP, ISO 14001 Lead Auditor) preferred but not mandatory.
