Job Description

**Job title** Back End Developer **Role Summary** Founding engineer responsible for designing and implementing the core architecture of a high‑frequency, low‑latency trading platform. Must deliver fault‑tolerant, microsecond‑level performance and set engineering standards for future hires. **Expactations** - Deliver 24/7 uptime with zero tolerance for downtime. - Engineer micro‑second latency requirements in a real‑time trading environment. - Define and enforce coding, testing, and deployment standards. - Partner with product and frontend teams to shape API contracts and scaling strategies. - Mentor new engineers on performance best practices. **Key Responsibilities** - Design, build, and maintain the core backend services in Rust, C, or C++. - Optimize code and infrastructure for sub‑millisecond latency. - Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, including Kubernetes deployments and IaC. - Conduct performance profiling, load testing, and capacity planning. - Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents with minimal impact. - Document system architecture, design decisions, and runbooks. - Collaborate with quant, risk, and compliance teams to ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance. **Required Skills** - 3+ years of experience with real‑time trading systems, exchanges, or HFT platforms. - Proficiency in Rust, C, or C++ (preferably Rust). - Deep understanding of Linux kernel internals, networking, and low‑latency techniques. - Experience with Kubernetes, container orchestration, and IaC (Terraform, Pulumi, etc.). - Strong knowledge of distributed systems, fault tolerance, and horizontal scaling. - Familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD, and automated testing. - Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills. **Required Education & Certifications** - STEM degree from a top‑ranked university or equivalent academic excellence. - No specific certifications required, though knowledge of financial industry standards (e.g., FIX, ISO20022) is advantageous.
