**Job title**
Lead DevOps Engineer – SaaS Platform
**Role Summary**
Provide senior leadership for the engineering of a multi‑tenant SaaS platform, driving operational excellence, automation and continuous improvement of CI/CD, IaC, observability and security practices.
**Expectations**
- Deliver scalable, secure, cost‑effective infrastructure and tooling.
- Accelerate release cycles and reduce mean time to recovery.
- Mentor and grow a high‑performing DevOps team.
- Operate in a 24/7/365 environment and support incident resolution.
- Drive cross‑functional collaboration with product, architecture and support teams.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Evolve DevOps culture through automation, feedback loops and continuous improvement.
- Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines (TeamCity, GitLab, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
- Own IaC strategy (Terraform, CloudFormation/CDK, Ansible).
- Partner with architects to influence platform scale, security and cost.
- Implement observability best practices (Datadog, New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK).
- Ensure compliance with security standards across infrastructure, tools, SaaS vendors and services.
- Diagnose and remediate complex customer and internal issues in Linux environments.
- Run Agile/Scrum ceremonies, manage sprint backlogs, and sustain project delivery.
- Provide coverage for support incidents during on‑call shifts.
**Required Skills**
- 8+ years DevOps experience, 3+ in a leadership role.
- Expertise in self‑hosted, private/public cloud and hybrid environments (AWS, Azure, Rackspace).
- Proven CI/CD and IaC implementation.
- Experience managing Java/Spring Boot, Oracle‑based SaaS applications.
- Deep knowledge of observability, logging and monitoring tools.
- Strong networking, security, Linux debugging and incident‑management skills.
- Agile/Lean development experience.
- Demonstrated mentoring, analytical thinking, communication, initiative and adaptability.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- Professional certifications preferred: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer, or similar DevOps/cloud credentials.
