**Job title:** Identity Access Management – IAM SME
**Role Summary:** Senior IAM specialist responsible for designing, configuring, and deploying identity and access solutions for a major police Records Management System upgrade, ensuring secure, compliant, and efficient access controls across policing systems.
**Expactations:**
- Deliver end‑to‑end IAM architecture, design, and implementation within the 12‑month contract.
- Support testing, go‑live, and post‑implementation reviews.
- Provide clear documentation and knowledge transfer to operational teams.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Lead the design and implementation of IAM solutions, including identity lifecycle, role‑based access control, and governance.
- Configure and administer SailPoint (essential), Active Directory, EntraID, and related directory services.
- Integrate IAM with enterprise and policing systems, ensuring alignment with UK policing standards (NIAM, vetting, access control).
- Establish authentication, authorization, and risk‑management processes, including federation and privileged access management.
- Coordinate with security, audit, and data‑protection teams to meet compliance obligations.
- Conduct design reviews, workshops, and training sessions for stakeholders and support teams.
- Produce and maintain IAM design documentation, configuration guides, and operational procedures.
**Required Skills:**
- Proven experience delivering comprehensive IAM solutions.
- Hands‑on expertise with SailPoint, Active Directory, EntraID, and directory integrations.
- Deep understanding of authentication, authorization, identity governance, and risk management.
- Experience integrating IAM with enterprise and policing systems (highly desirable).
- Knowledge of UK policing environments, vetting, and access control protocols (desirable).
- Familiarity with compliance, audit, and data protection obligations in the public sector.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related field.
- Minimum 3 + years of hands‑on IAM project experience in complex, regulatory, or public sector environments.
