Network Architect
**Role Summary**
Design and implement a greenfield network solution for a market‑leading client. Provide advanced network architecture services, focusing on high‑availability firewall deployment, SD‑WAN, Azure networking, and Zero‑Trust segmentation using Fortinet technologies.
**Expectations**
* Deliver detailed design documents and architectural diagrams.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to translate high‑level concepts into production‑ready networks.
* Ensure secure, scalable, and highly available network infrastructure using Fortinet and Azure solutions.
* Demonstrate strong knowledge of IP, VLAN, subnetting, and network security principles.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Design high‑availability firewall architectures (active/active, active/passive).
2. Plan and deploy FortiGate NGFW, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiSwitch, FortiAP, and secure SD‑Branch.
3. Architect SD‑WAN solutions leveraging Fortinet SD‑WAN capabilities.
4. Implement Zero‑Trust segmentation across the network fabric.
5. Configure Azure Virtual Network, Azure Firewall, Azure WAF, and related networking services.
6. Produce comprehensive design documentation and configuration guides.
7. Provide guidance on best practices for network monitoring, logging, and compliance.
**Required Skills**
* Extensive network architecture experience, especially in greenfield projects.
* Deep proficiency with Fortinet solutions: FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiSwitch, FortiAP, SD‑WAN, and Secure SD‑Branch.
* Solid understanding of IP addressing, VLANs, subnetting, and routing protocols.
* Experience with Azure Networking (Virtual Network, Azure Firewall, WAF, ExpressRoute).
* Knowledge of Zero‑Trust security models and segmentation techniques.
* Strong documentation and diagramming abilities.
**Required Education & Certifications**
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
* Fortinet Certified Network Architect (FCNA) or equivalent FPGA, Fortinet Certified Professional in Advanced FortiGate.
* Azure networking certification (e.g., AZ‑900, AZ‑303/304) preferred.
