Job title: Cloud DevOps Engineer
Role Summary:
Architect, build, and manage DevOps infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and hybrid multi‑cloud environments. Drive CI/CD pipeline deployment, automation, and standardisation to accelerate delivery and improve code quality.
Expectations:
* Deliver reliable, scalable, and secure cloud solutions that meet business and compliance needs.
* Champion DevOps best practices, ensuring high standards and continuous improvement.
* Collaborate with software engineering, product, and security teams to align technical solutions with business goals.
* Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Octopus, Bamboo, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
* Develop infrastructure as code using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and Docker/Kubernetes.
* Automate deployment, scaling, and monitoring of applications and services.
* Standardise developer tooling and environments to enhance developer experience.
* Document processes, architecture, and troubleshooting guidelines.
* Implement observability with DataDog, OpenSearch, and LogicMonitor.
* Apply security controls and best practices across cloud and DevOps assets.
* Evaluate new tools and technologies, recommend improvements, and lead pilot projects.
* Provide rapid resolution of infrastructure and deployment issues.
Required Skills:
* Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, Snowflake; hybrid IaaS/PaaS/SaaS environments.
* Containerisation & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes.
* Scripting & IaC: Python, PowerShell, Terraform, CloudFormation.
* CI/CD & Automation: Octopus Deploy, Bamboo, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, configuration management.
* Observability & Monitoring: DataDog, OpenSearch, LogicMonitor.
* Networking, storage, and database fundamentals.
* Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and multi‑tasking abilities.
* Excellent written and verbal communication.
Required Education & Certifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
* Professional cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or equivalent) preferred.
