Job title: AI‑ML Engineer
Role Summary: Design, develop, validate, and deploy end‑to‑end AI/ML solutions that optimize Power Transmission operations and enhance product performance.
Expactations: Deliver high‑impact AI concepts, build proofs of concept and MVPs, deploy models to production (cloud/edge), maintain model lifecycle, collaborate across cross‑functional teams, and advance MLOps practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify and scoping high‑impact AI/ML opportunities with Power Transmission stakeholders.
• Lead data exploration, feature engineering, model selection, training, validation, and optimisation.
• Develop, test, and deliver PoCs and MVPs; scale models to production environments.
• Deploy and manage models in AWS, Azure, or edge platforms; ensure monitoring and continuous improvement.
• Serve as technical advisor to project teams, clarifying AI capabilities and limitations.
• Produce comprehensive technical documentation, model reports, and knowledge‑sharing materials.
• Keep current on AI/ML research, tools, and emerging technologies; introduce innovative solutions.
Required Skills:
- Python (Pandas, NumPy, scikit‑learn)
- ML frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras
- MLOps: versioning, CI/CD pipelines, model monitoring
- Cloud deployment: AWS, Azure, or equivalent; edge inference
- Statistical & ML techniques: supervised, unsupervised, time‑series, advanced regression/categorisation
- Data handling: SQL, structured & unstructured data pipelines
- Data visualisation: Tableau, Power‑BI, Matplotlib
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science or related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., TensorFlow Developer, AWS AI/ML) are a plus.
