Job title: DevOps – AWS
Role Summary:
Drive the design, deployment, and continuous improvement of AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Lead the implementation of scalable, secure, and highly available environments, mentor teams on DevOps practices, and ensure production readiness through monitoring, logging, and security compliance.
Expactations:
- Expert‑level proficiency in AWS services (VPC, EC2, RDS, Lambda, S3, IAM, etc.).
- Proven ability to develop and maintain Terraform modules and CloudFormation templates.
- Strong knowledge of CloudOps standards, including resilience, patching, and incident management.
- Ability to architect and automate CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and evolve Terraform modules and CloudFormation templates.
- Industrialise AWS environments: VPC, EC2, RDS, Lambda, S3, IAM, and related services.
- Design robust, secure, and scalable infrastructure following CloudOps best practices.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, log centralisation, and security controls (IAM, network hardening).
- Manage patching, incident response, high availability, and disaster recovery.
- Guide project teams on CI/CD integration and deployment automation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of DevOps practices and automation.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation and best‑practice guidelines.
- Serve as technical reference for AWS and IaC topics.
Required Skills:
- AWS – Advanced experience (certification preferred).
- Terraform – Expert level.
- CloudFormation – Strong experience.
- IaC – Expert proficiency.
- Knowledge of managed AWS services and CloudOps best practices.
- Expertise in security, monitoring, alerting, incident management, rollback procedures.
- Clean, modular, reusable code generation with documentation.
- Strong communication, autonomy, and collaborative mindset.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent AWS certification (preferred).
