**Job Title:** NDAO Data Officer (Governance) **Role Summary:** Lead the governance of policing data across the National Police Capital Context (NPCC). Job Description
Job Title: ISM Cyber Specialist Role Summary: Provide specialist cyber security advice and assurance across national policing programmes, supporting delivery of the Police Digital Service Cyber Services strategy and ensuring secure, compliant technology solutions. Expectations: Deliver secure design, governance, and risk management across cloud and enterprise environments; maintain NPPV3 and SC clearances; build and sustain stakeholder relationships; align security initiatives with NIST, ISO27001, and CIS frameworks. Key Responsibilities: - Advise the ISM Cyber Delivery Manager on technical security, reporting, and stakeholder assurance. - Support strategy, roadmap, bid, and business case development for PDS Cyber Services. - Monitor trends impacting national policing policy and recommend secure design integration. - Enforce governance, controls, standards, and procedures; provide architectural input to projects and CS services. - Develop and review information security policies, standards, and guidelines within National Policing. - Deliver secure-by-design solutions; assess and quantify risk for projects and programmes. - Contribute to the National Policing Target Architecture with security considerations. - Provide specialist security advice to PDS and National Policing stakeholders in line with the Strategic Portfolio. Required Skills: - 3+ years of IT/Information security consulting in complex organisations. - Cloud security delivery experience in Azure, AWS, or GCP; implementation of multi‑layer security controls. - Expertise in design documentation (HLDs, LLDs, blueprints) and cloud architecture operations and automation. - Deep knowledge of NIST Cyber Security Framework, ISO27001, and CIS Top 20 controls; ability to map to Azure Cloud Adoption Framework. - Strong stakeholder management, expectation alignment, and cross‑functional collaboration. - Demonstrated ability to articulate secure architecture, governance, and risk mitigation. Required Education & Certifications: - Relevant degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent. - Security certifications such as CISM, CISSP, or equivalent preferred. - Eligible for and hold NPPV3 and SC clearance at the time of hire.
