**Job Title**
Epidemiologist – Scientific Development & Production
**Role Summary**
Lead the scientific strategy of a large medical‑diagnostics group by designing, piloting, and publishing epidemiological and observational studies using the organization’s health data. Act as the bridge between data science, biostatistics, and clinical science, enhancing the group’s scientific output and reputation globally.
**Expectations**
- Oversee end‑to‑end epidemiological research workflow from concept to publication.
- Ensure methodological rigor, regulatory compliance, and high‑impact scientific communication.
- Drive strategic research road‑mapping, partnership cultivation, and internal scientific capacity building.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. **Scientific Strategy & Road‑mapping**
- Implement the group's scientific strategy in collaboration with scientific and medical leads.
- Identify priority research areas (public health, diseases, prevention, biomarkers, AI).
- Build research road‑maps and program plans using the company’s data resources.
- Boost scientific visibility through publications, conferences, and academic partnerships.
2. **Study Design & Execution**
- Design cohort, cross‑sectional, registry, and real‑world evidence (RWE) studies.
- Develop detailed protocols, statistical analysis plans, and ensure methodological quality.
- Oversee data extraction, management, and statistical analyses.
- Pilot and lead reporting, manuscript drafting, and submission processes.
3. **Collaboration & Governance**
- Coordinate with Data Science, Biostatistics, and Health Data Warehouse teams.
- Maintain scientific integrity and regulatory compliance (GDPR, CNIL).
- Participate in scientific governance committees; set best‑practice publication standards.
4. **Performance Tracking**
- Monitor scientific KPIs (publications, collaborations, citation impact).
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership on research progress and outcomes.
5. **Internal Capacity Building**
- Design and deliver seminars, workshops, and training on research methodology.
- Mentor internal scientists and support their project development.
6. **Cross‑Functional Support**
- Work closely with Clinical Research Operations, Prevention Medicine, and Innovation teams.
- Contribute to national and European collaborative research initiatives.
**Required Skills**
- Expert knowledge of epidemiological and biostatistical methods.
- Proficiency in health data analysis and statistical modeling.
- Advanced skills in R, SAS, STATA, or Python.
- Strong understanding of health data governance (GDPR, CNIL).
- Proven experience in designing & publishing real‑world data studies (RWD/RWE).
- Excellent scientific writing, project management, and stakeholder communication.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- PhD or Master’s (MSc/MA) in Epidemiology, Public Health, or Biostatistics.
- Medical, pharmacy, or equivalent scientific background acceptable.
- Additional training in clinical research methodology, data science, or scientific innovation is a plus.
