**Job title**: Infrastructure Engineer
**Role Summary**: Operates, maintains, and troubleshoots cloud‑based UNIX/Linux infrastructure that supports both internal and customer‑facing services. Works with AWS (primary), Azure, GCP, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, and Python to ensure high availability, performance, and security.
**Expactations**:

- Follow and improve runbooks, incident procedures, and automation practices.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot UNIX/Linux systems in cloud environments.
2. Support and maintain configuration‑management and Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC) setups (Terraform, Ansible).
3. Manage cloud resources: virtual machines, networking components, and managed services.
4. Monitor system health, investigate alerts, and participate in incident response and root‑cause analysis.
5. Perform routine updates, patching, and security hardening.
6. Operate Kubernetes clusters and container workloads, focusing on operational stability.
7. Collaborate with senior engineers on automation, monitoring, and best‑practice development.
8. Document procedures, runbooks, and troubleshooting guides to enhance team efficiency.
**Required Skills**:
- Hands‑on UNIX/Linux administration and shell scripting.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, load balancing) in cloud or data‑center contexts.
- Practical experience with AWS services (compute, networking, monitoring).
- Basic scripting or development experience (Python preferred).
- Clear communication, collaboration, and a growth mindset.
- Basic familiarity with Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, and monitoring tools such as Grafana is a plus.
**Required Education & Certifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Linux Foundation LFCS, Terraform Associate, or similar.
