**Job Title**
DevOps Engineer, Senior
**Role Summary**
Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of a fully automated DevSecOps pipeline in a multi‑cloud Kubernetes environment. Drive continuous integration, delivery, and operations through infrastructure‑as‑code, monitoring, and collaboration with development teams to accelerate secure software releases for the intelligence community.
**Expectations**
- Minimum 5 years of hands‑on DevOps/DevSecOps experience, or 8 + years with a high‑school credential.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving CI/CD pipeline failures or performance bottlenecks.
- Capable of managing complex, multi‑cloud Kubernetes workloads and IaC automation.
- Eligibility for Top Secret clearance; ability to obtain a Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA‑Security, or GSEC within 6 months of hire.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Streamline the software development lifecycle by automating build, test, and deployment pipelines across cloud environments.
2. Build and maintain a DevSecOps pipeline using open‑source tools (Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Helm, Prometheus, Grafana, Python/Golang).
3. Design, code, and deploy IaC solutions for infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
4. Diagnose and remediate CI/CD pipeline issues, slowness, and failures; conduct root‑cause analysis.
5. Collaborate with application development teams to integrate DevOps practices into the full SDLC.
6. Advocate and onboard other organizations and teams to adopt DevOps processes, tools, and roles.
7. Maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting stacks; manage Elasticsearch and Kibana when applicable.
8. Continuously review and enhance automation across technical stacks and deployment environments.
**Required Skills**
- Kubernetes cluster management and Helm chart development.
- CI/CD tooling: ArgoCD, Jenkins, GitLab runners or GitHub Actions.
- IaC expertise: Terraform, Terragrunt, Pulumi.
- Monitoring & observability: Prometheus, Grafana, ElasticStack.
- Scripting: Python or Golang.
- Strong troubleshooting of CI/CD, Kubernetes, and cloud‑native stack issues.
- Experience with enterprise cloud‑native solutions.
- Knowledge of security best practices in CI/CD and IaC.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- High‑school diploma or GED + 8 + years of DevOps experience, **or**
- Bachelor’s degree + 5 + years of DevOps experience.
- Top Secret clearance (or higher).
- Must obtain one of: Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA‑Security, or GSEC within 6 months of start.
