**Role Summary**
Intern participants collaborate in a startup‑accelerator style program, solving high‑impact, multidisciplinary problems for Booz Allen clients. Interns work in cross‑functional teams to design, develop, and prototype innovative software solutions, fully documenting their work and presenting results to senior leadership at the program’s Challenge Cup finale.

- Programming proficiency in Java, JavaScript, C, C++, Assembly, Python, Perl, R, or Bash.
- Prior experience with machine learning, data mining, statistics, or graph algorithms.
- Ability to conduct research, develop software, produce technical documentation, and create design artifacts.
- Independent and collaborative work style, strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Eligibility for a Secret clearance and commitment to obtain it.
- Expected to hold a Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics by Winter 2026, Spring 2027, Summer 2027, Winter 2028, or Spring 2028.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Partner with a team to identify, design, and implement software solutions addressing complex client challenges.
- Apply Booz Allen products and tools (machine learning libraries, data analytics platforms, etc.) to prototype concepts.
- Conduct research, write code, test, and iterate on prototypes.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, design artifacts, and presentation materials.
- Collaborate with senior mentors and peers to refine solutions.
- Present final projects at the Challenge Cup competition to senior leadership.
