Job Description
Job Title: Financial Controller – 1st Finance Hire Role Summary: Senior finance leader responsible for establishing and managing the financial infrastructure of a high‑growth technology company. Drives strategic financial planning, reporting, compliance, and operational efficiency to support rapid expansion. Expectations: - Deliver reliable, timely financial reporting and insights for senior leadership. - Ensure full regulatory compliance across jurisdictions. - Build scalable financial systems, processes, and controls. - Collaborate closely with senior management to influence business strategy. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee day‑to‑day finance operations. - Prepare and present monthly and quarterly financial reports, forecasts, and variance analysis. - Lead budget preparation and long‑term financial planning initiatives. - Liaise with external auditors, accountants, and tax advisors to meet statutory requirements. - Design, implement, and maintain scalable financial systems, controls, and reporting tools. - Manage core financial processes: banking, invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, and employee expense reporting. - Drive process improvement via automation and adoption of new financial tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency. Required Skills: - Proven senior finance experience in a fast‑growth tech or similar environment. - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems. - Strong analytical, reporting, and communication abilities. - Strategic mindset with the ability to translate finance into business decisions. Required Education & Certifications: - Fully Qualified ACA/CA/ACCA/ACMA or equivalent with post‑qualification experience.
