Job Description
Job title: Learning and Professional Development Facilitator Role Summary: Support and lead the Nursing and AHP learning strategy within the Trust, coordinating development, delivery, and evaluation of workforce transformation and education initiatives. Expectations: Deliver high‑quality educational programmes, maintain governance, manage a small team, monitor project outcomes, and represent the Trust at internal and external events. Key Responsibilities: - Design, implement and assess educational initiatives such as Care Certificate and clinical skills training for pre‑registration nursing students. - Ensure governance, career pathways, and role development meet Trust standards. - Line‑manage practice educators and legacy mentors, coordinating across corporate services and other departments. - Monitor and report on project performance against the Trust Learning and Professional Development strategy. - Liaise with internal and external networks, excellence centres, and education providers; participate in regional and national meetings. - Represent the Trust in events and contribute to best‑practice sharing. Required Skills: - Proven educational and leadership experience in healthcare. - Strong knowledge of clinical practice and workforce development. - Project management and governance competence. - Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement abilities. - Ability to analyse data and report on educational outcomes. Required Education & Certifications: - Qualified healthcare professional with recognized teaching credentials. - Relevant postgraduate qualification in education, nursing, or allied health (e.g., PGDipEd, MSc). - Certifications in course delivery, curriculum design, or quality assurance are an advantage.
