Job Description

**Job title** Web Developer (Contractor) **Role Summary** Deliver clean, scalable, and well‑tested web applications across varied industries using an agile, sprint‑based methodology. Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams (mobile devs, PMs, QA, designers, product specialists) to design, develop, test, and deploy new features or enhancements, ensuring timely delivery and high quality. **Expactations** - Complete end‑to‑end development lifecycle from estimation to production release. - Adhere to sprint schedules and deliverables, maintaining code quality and documentation. - Engage in peer reviews, knowledge sharing, and continuous process improvement. - Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices. - Manage time accurately and balance workload across multiple projects. **Key Responsibilities** - Write efficient, maintainable, and unit/UI‑tested PHP/Laravel code. - Develop front‑end components with Vue.js and integrate RESTful APIs. - Use MySQL for data persistence and PestPHP for automated testing. - Perform code reviews and collaborate on architecture decisions. - Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles. - Participate in daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other agile ceremonies. - Monitor performance and implement optimizations where needed. - Communicate progress, blockers, and solutions to stakeholders. - Contribute to continuous improvement of development practices and tooling. **Required Skills** - Proficiency in PHP, Laravel framework, and Vue.js. - Experience with RESTful API development and MySQL database design. - Solid understanding of version control (Git/GitHub) and testing frameworks (unit & UI). - Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and debugging skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication for technical and non‑technical audiences. - Effective time management, prioritisation, and self‑direction. - Familiarity with Agile sprint practices and collaboration tools. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field, or equivalent industry experience, training, or apprenticeship in software development.
