Job title: IT Infrastructure Engineer
Role Summary: 12‑month fixed‑term Engineer responsible for the full lifecycle of core IT infrastructure—including Windows Server (2012‑2022), VMware vSphere, backup/DR solutions (Veeam, Zerto), Active Directory, Exchange, SQL Server, and Microsoft 365—ensuring security, stability, and performance.
Expactations: Deliver reliable, secure infrastructure; manage multiple priority initiatives; provide prompt support and escalation handling; participate in on‑call rotation; contribute to infrastructure projects that drive business growth; continuously improve system efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, VMware vSphere, and associated virtualized resources.
- Manage backup and disaster‑recovery configurations using Veeam, Zerto, and related tools.
- Oversee Active Directory, Exchange, SQL Server, and Microsoft 365 services.
- Conduct system monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
- Resolve escalated support incidents and coordinate with cross‑functional teams.
- Plan and execute scheduled maintenance, with occasional out‑of‑hour tasks.
- Participate in a weekly on‑call rotation (one week per month).
- Lead infrastructure projects such as virtual environment enhancements, resilience improvements, and new technology deployments.
- Document procedures, configurations, and best practices.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in IT infrastructure roles in professional services or enterprise settings.
- Expertise in Windows Server (2012‑2022), VMware vSphere, Active Directory, Exchange, SQL Server, and Microsoft 365.
- Strong knowledge of networking, backup strategies, and security controls.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and deliver under tight deadlines.
- Bonus: Azure, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, PowerShell scripting, Citrix, iManage.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Relevant certifications preferred: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Fundamentals, VMware Certified Professional (VCP).
