Job Description
**Job title** Software Engineer Intern **Role summary** Full‑time, 12‑week internship focused on developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining media processing services for video, audio, subtitles, and text. Collaborate with senior engineers in an agile environment, employ modern development practices, and contribute to code quality and documentation. **Expectations** - Attend remote or onsite (Burbank, CA) working hours, potentially including overtime and weekends. - Deliver functional software modules, unit‑tested and integrated into CI/CD pipelines. - Participate in code reviews, debugging, and continuous improvement of existing systems. - Produce clear documentation of designs, codes, and procedures. **Key responsibilities** - Design, code, test, and deploy on‑premises or AWS‑based media services. - Debug and resolve software defects, implement efficient solutions. - Write and maintain unit tests; collaborate with QA and release teams. - Contribute to system architecture discussions and technical design reviews. - Document software design, coding standards, and operational procedures. - Review pull requests and provide constructive feedback to peers. **Required skills** - Proficiency in Python, C#, or C++ (one or more). - Familiarity with Linux operating systems and service frameworks. - Experience with Visual Studio/Visual Studio Code IDEs. - Knowledge of Git, Jira, and other collaboration tools. - Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies. - Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking abilities. - Excellent written and verbal communication; teamwork orientation. - Capable of troubleshooting complex code and system issues. **Required education & certifications** - Recent graduate (or candidate) with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field from an accredited institution. - Ability to provide academic transcripts upon request. ---
