Support risk assessment, policy development, and project work while ensuring regulatory adherence and commercial feasibility. **Expectations** - Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in sanctions, AML, or financial crime. - Demonstrated knowledge of UK, EU, and US sanctions regimes or strong understanding of the reinsurance sector. - Hands‑on experience with insurance sanctions legislation. - Strong organizational, communication and problem‑solving skills with ability to work under pressure and independently. **Key Responsibilities** - Collaborate with the Sanctions Manager and CoE colleagues to assess and manage sanctions risks. - Provide specialist sanctions advice, balancing regulatory requirements with business needs. - Act as escalation point for sanctions screening alerts and complex inquiries. - Support financial crime projects, M&A integrations, and business‑led initiatives. - Conduct research on sanctions developments and advise on policy implementation. - Embed and maintain a sanctions framework aligned with internal policies and applicable laws. - Report to the Sanctions Manager on processes and risks. - Ensure clear, persuasive communication across stakeholders. **Required Skills** - In‑depth knowledge of UK, EU, US sanctions and export control laws. - Experience with insurance‐specific sanctions legislation. - Ability to evaluate effectiveness of controls and propose improvements. - Excellent written and verbal communication; capable of distilling complex issues. - Strong organizational skills, ability to manage tight deadlines, and work under pressure. - Practical, commercial mindset with a proactive, solution‑oriented approach. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Law, Risk Management, or related field. - Professional certifications (e.g., CAMS, CRS, or equivalent) are an advantage but not mandatory.
