Job Description

**Job Title** Senior Full Stack Engineer – AI Platform **Role Summary** Architect and develop end‑to‑end AI‑powered internal tools for a fintech startup. Deliver real‑time user interfaces with React/Next.js and TypeScript, backend services with Node.js/Python and WebSockets, and integrate LLMs via OpenAI API and LangChain on AWS. Own full lifecycle from design to production, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability. **Expectations** - 4+ years of professional software engineering experience. - Proven expertise in React/Next.js, TypeScript, and either Node.js or Python. - Hands‑on experience with SQL databases, WebSockets, and AWS services. - Comfortable onsite work in NYC (3–4 days per week). - Interest or experience in AI/LLM integration at the integration level. **Key Responsibilities** - Design, implement, and maintain real‑time UIs and backend APIs. - Integrate OpenAI APIs and LangChain for natural‑language processing. - Build event‑driven, real‑time data pipelines and WebSocket services. - Own end‑to‑end system ownership: architecture, code quality, testing, deployment, and monitoring. - Collaborate with data, product, and design teams to translate requirements into technical solutions. - Mentor and elevate junior engineers, reviewing code and sharing best practices. - Optimize performance, scalability, and cost efficiency of cloud infrastructure. **Required Skills** - React, Next.js, TypeScript - Node.js OR Python (backend development) - SQL (relational database design & queries) - WebSockets, event‑driven architecture - AWS (EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3, etc.) - OpenAI API, LangChain (or comparable LLM libraries) - Strong problem‑solving, debugging, and code‑review abilities **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience). - AWS or cloud certification is a plus but not mandatory.
