**Job Title:** Microsoft 365 System Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Design, implement, and manage Microsoft 365 and hybrid Cloud solutions, ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient IT infrastructure. Provide advanced support, automation, and governance across Exchange, Teams, OneDrive, Azure AD, Intune, and on‑premises Active Directory.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver high‑availability Microsoft 365 services supporting business productivity.
- Enforce security, compliance, and performance standards through policy, automation, and monitoring.
- Act as Tier 3 technical escalator and mentor for junior team members.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Microsoft 365 workloads (Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive).
- Administer Azure AD, Entra ID, and Conditional Access policies to secure identity and access.
- Manage hybrid AD environments, ensuring synchronization, health, and AD integration.
- Automate routine tasks with PowerShell, Azure CLI, or other scripting tools; develop reusable modules.
- Oversee endpoint management (Intune, Ivanti, SCCM), enforce compliance, and remediate security issues.
- Integrate Microsoft 365 with on‑premises systems (servers, storage, network).
- Design, configure, and maintain server, storage, and network infrastructure components.
- Build and maintain Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to preserve security and compliance.
- Monitor system health, performance, and availability; diagnose and resolve incidents.
- Provide Tier 3 support; serve as escalation point for IT issues.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement IT architecture improvements.
**Required Skills:**
- 5+ years of System Engineering or equivalent role.
- Deep expertise in Microsoft 365 services (Exchange, Teams, OneDrive).
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory (on‑prem & hybrid), Azure AD, Entra ID, Conditional Access.
- Advanced PowerShell scripting for automation and administration.
- Experience with endpoint mgmt tools (Intune, Ivanti, SCCM).
- Familiarity with virtualization (VMware, Hyper‑V) and storage technologies.
- Understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, AD‑Aware).
- Proficient in GPO creation, management, and troubleshooting.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills in English and Dutch.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Relevant certifications preferred: Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or equivalent.
