**Job Title:** Infrastructure / DevOps Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Design, build, and operate the scalable cloud infrastructure that supports a global API‑first platform. Lead high‑availability, deployment, and monitoring practices to ensure reliable service delivery and continuous improvement of DevOps processes.
**Expectations:**

- Drive the transition to fully immutable infrastructure and GitOps workflows.
- Maintain optimal system performance, reliability, and security through proactive incident management and capacity planning.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Improve Docker‑based microservice high availability and manage Kubernetes deployments for global scaling.
- Develop and maintain IaC using Terraform; implement GitOps and immutability principles.
- Operate full release lifecycle: build, test, deploy to staging and production using CI/CD (GitHub Actions, CircleCI, ArgoCD).
- Build and maintain observability stack (logging, metrics, tracing) with New Relic, Grafana, or Datadog.
- Optimize database performance and implement backup, restore, and disaster‑recovery plans.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to provide tooling, support post‑incident recovery, and enhance security posture.
- Participate in on‑call rotation to resolve incidents and communicate status to stakeholders.
**Required Skills:**
- 4+ years of software engineering or DevOps experience in agile environments.
- 2+ years hands‑on Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in Terraform, Git, and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, CircleCI, ArgoCD).
- Experience with AWS or GCP (EC2, ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS Aurora, DynamoDB, Cloud Functions).
- Solid knowledge of relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redis).
- Familiarity with IAM, SSO, WAF, network ACLs, and security best practices.
- Monitoring expertise with New Relic, Grafana, Datadog, or similar.
- Python programming and API standards (REST, JSON‑RPC, SOAP/XML).
- Comfortable with Linux (Bash, shell scripting) and API testing tools (Postman, Insomnia).
- Strong documentation skills (runbooks, architecture decisions, incident reports).
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator) are a plus.
