Job Title: Manager, Editorial Workflow Innovation
Role Summary: Lead the transformation of editorial and publishing operations through strategic AI integration, experimentation, and cross‑functional collaboration. Drive the development of AI tools, governance frameworks, and adoption strategies to enhance content creation, curation, and distribution while maintaining editorial standards.
Expectations: • Own the AI roadmap for editorial processes and delivery of measurable efficiencies and quality gains • Build and scale experiment pipelines, evaluate results, and iterate quickly • Partner with ML/ data science, product, marketing, legal, and creative teams to align AI initiatives with business objectives and responsible AI principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and prioritize high‑impact editorial AI use cases in partnership with stakeholders.
- Design, run, and refine experiments (A/B tests, quality reviews) to validate AI solutions.
- Develop testing frameworks for model evaluation against editorial performance, ROI, and quality metrics.
- Lead AI tool selection (build, customize, buy) in collaboration with Product/Engineering.
- Work with ML scientists to tune models for tone, accuracy, and safety.
- Create and enforce editorial guardrails covering style, voice, fact‑checking, and responsible AI use.
- Track, report, and communicate ROI, adoption, and impact to senior leadership.
- Foster cross‑functional alignment with Marketing, Product, Data, and Legal/Policy teams.
- Stay informed on emerging AI technologies and publishing workflows.
Required Skills
- Deep understanding of generative AI (LLMs, RAG, prompting, fine‑tuning, evaluation).
- Proven experimentation and prototyping capability (A/B testing, metrics, feedback loops).
- Product thinking: use‑case definition, trade‑off analysis, roadmap development.
- Analytical mindset with experience in measuring adoption, efficiency, and ROI.
- Strong editorial judgment and storytelling expertise covering voice, tone, and ethics.
- Change management skills: coaching, guiding creative teams, driving adoption.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration.
Required Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Communications, Journalism, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
- Relevant certifications in AI, data analytics, or product management are a plus.
