Senior ServiceNow Developer
**Role Summary**
Lead the design, development, and enhancement of IT Service Management (ITSM) applications on the ServiceNow platform. Drive implementation of ITIL best practices, ensuring high‑performance, responsive solutions that meet cross‑functional business requirements. Collaborate with IT, business analysts, and stakeholders to translate requirements into robust ServiceNow configurations and customizations.
**Expectations**
- Deliver scalable ITSM solutions that adhere to ITIL, Agile, and coding best practices.
- Maintain high code quality through systematic reviews, testing, and documentation.
- Proactively troubleshoot platform issues and implement timely resolutions.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to continuous improvement of the ServiceNow development process.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design, develop, and support ServiceNow ITSM modules (Incident, Problem, Change, Service Request, Knowledge Management).
- Configure and extend modules using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and ServiceNow Studio.
- Integrate ServiceNow with external systems via REST APIs and web services.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements, provide solution design, and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Conduct code reviews, unit and integration testing, and produce comprehensive technical documentation.
- Apply ITIL frameworks to optimize service delivery, incident response, and change management.
- Keep abreast of ServiceNow platform releases, industry trends, and emerging technologies, recommending innovations to the team.
**Required Skills**
- Advanced proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Deep experience with ServiceNow development (core platform, scripting, UI, integrations).
- Strong understanding of ITIL processes and Agile development methodologies.
- Practical knowledge of REST APIs, web services, and ServiceNow integration patterns.
- Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Angular, React) and data analysis/reporting within ITSM contexts.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field **and** a minimum of 6 years of professional experience, **or**
- Master’s degree in a related discipline **and** a minimum of 3 years of professional experience.
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or higher-level certifications (e.g., Certified System Administrator) are highly preferred but not mandatory.
