Job Title: Technical Project Manager – Data Centre – Contract
Role Summary
Lead end‑to‑end delivery of large‑scale data centre transformation initiatives (migrations, consolidations, infrastructure modernisation) across physical, cloud, and hybrid environments, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality and risk governance standards.
Expectations
- Execute complex technical projects with a focus on scope, schedule, cost, risk, and quality.
- Foster collaboration among infrastructure, network, cloud, and application teams.
- Manage vendors and service providers to meet contractual and technical requirements.
- Demonstrate strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and communicate detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk registers in line with corporate governance.
- Lead cross‑functional coordination for physical and cloud migration programmes.
- Manage the decommissioning, migration, and integration of legacy infrastructure with minimal business disruption.
- Drive vendor management and contract compliance.
- Contribute to long‑term data centre and infrastructure strategy development aligned with organisational goals.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of project‑management experience on technical infrastructure or data centre transformation projects.
- Proven track record of delivering data centre migrations, consolidations, or hybrid/cloud transition programmes.
- In‑depth technical knowledge of servers, storage, networking, virtualization, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong understanding of ITIL processes, service transition, and change management.
- Experience with structured governance frameworks and complex stakeholder environments.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation abilities for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Proficiency in project‑management tools (MS Project, JIRA, Smartsheet, etc.).
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
Required Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Professional project‑management certification preferred: PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile Scrum Master.
