Job Title: Stage – Data Scientist
Job Description: Job Title: Data Scientist Intern Role Summary: Intern to support data science projects for a healthcare subsidiary, translating client requirements into data problems, building data pipelines, modeling, and delivering insights with an emphasis on Python-based ML solutions. Expectations: - Participate in the full project lifecycle, from scoping to delivery. - Communicate technical decisions and risk/benefit analyses. - Work within an interdisciplinary team, collaborating closely with client stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: - Frame project objectives and transform client needs into actionable data tasks. - Design, develop, and implement data structures, models, and analytical pipelines. - Perform data preprocessing, feature engineering, and statistical modeling. - Generate reports, visualizations, and deliverables to support client decisions. - Engage in scientific and technological monitoring to keep solutions current. - Contribute to knowledge sharing and code reuse (CI pipelines, version control). Required Skills: - Proficiency in Python (pandas, scikit-learn, matplotlib). - Solid understanding of statistical and machine-learning concepts. - Ability to build, evaluate, and interpret predictive models. - Strong synthesis, communication, and teamwork skills. - Organizational rigor and attention to detail. Additional Skills (desirable): - Experience with Git, unit testing, continuous integration. - Familiarity with distributed computing (Spark, parallelization). - Knowledge of R. - Exposure to healthcare data or projects. Required Education & Certifications: - Engineering school graduate or holder of a Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field. - Prior internship or project experience in data science is preferred.
