Job title: Security Manager (all genders)
Role Summary: Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing management of security controls for a cloud hosting environment, ensuring protection against threats, rapid incident response, and compliance across the organization.
Expactations: Deliver continuous improvement of the security posture, proactive threat detection, effective incident triage, audit readiness, and integration of security measures into all business projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the organization’s security strategy in alignment with business goals.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain security tools including SIEM, vulnerability management, firewalls, and endpoint protection.
- Monitor security alerts, triage incidents, coordinate response, and manage containment and recovery efforts.
- Conduct regular risk assessments, research emerging threats, and translate findings into actionable controls.
- Create and update security policies, procedures, and awareness programs.
- Support internal and external audits, maintain comprehensive documentation, and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
- Collaborate with product, operations, and engineering teams to embed security into all initiatives.
Required Skills:
- Minimum 5 years of operational security experience, preferably in cloud hosting or managed service provider environments.
- Hands‑on experience with SIEM, vulnerability management, endpoint protection, and cloud security controls.
- Strong knowledge of threat intelligence, incident response, and risk mitigation.
- Ability to analyse emerging threats and design effective technical safeguards.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Fluent in English; willingness to travel occasionally.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- Relevant certifications preferred: CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent.
