Job Description
Job title: Data Transformation Analyst – 6 Month FTC (Remote) Role Summary: Deliver high‑quality, performance‑optimized data models, dashboards, and reports for large data sets using Power BI, Power Query, and Excel. Translate stakeholder requirements into actionable insights and maintain data quality throughout reporting pipelines. Expectations: • Complete end‑to‑end data transformation for a 6‑month contract period. • Communicate solutions clearly to non‑technical users. • Produce maintainable, scalable reporting assets that support business decisions. Key Responsibilities: 1. Design, model, and document large data sets in Power BI using star‑schema, relationships, and filter direction. 2. Build interactive dashboards and reports, ensuring accuracy, performance, and usability. 3. Perform advanced analysis and visualizations in Excel, including complex formulas and VBA when needed. 4. Cleanse, reshape, and load data with Power Query, ensuring consistency across pipelines. 5. Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit requirements, provide technical guidance, and deliver deliverables on schedule. Required Skills: • Power BI: Advanced data modelling, DAX, performance optimisation for large data volumes. • Excel: Advanced formulas (SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, text functions), dashboard creation, data visualization. • Power Query: Data cleansing, shaping, and transformation. • VBA: Preferred for automation. • Strong communication: Ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical audiences. Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or a related field. • (Optional) Microsoft Certified: Power BI Expert or equivalent data‑analytics certification.
