Job Title: Assistant Facility Security Officer Role Summary: Support and manage the industrial security program for a U.S. defense contractor, ensuring compliance with NISPOM, 32 CFR 117, and DCSA requirements while providing office administration and visitor support. Expectations: - Hold or obtain U.S. Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required. - Demonstrate professional judgment, discretion, and strong communication with executives, DCSA, and government clients. - Oversee security policy implementation, incident response, and continuous improvement of security practices. Key Responsibilities: - Administer facility security program: conduct self‑inspections, manage DCSA Vulnerability Assessments, and report findings. - Serve as secondary point of contact for personnel security matters; process DD‑1172s for CAC card issuance. - Maintain classified materials and information per DCSA guidelines. - Perform day‑to‑day office administration: supply ordering, purchase requisitions in Oracle, shipping/receiving, facilities maintenance scheduling. - Manage visitor logistics: approvals, escorting visitors, handling off‑hour alarm calls. - Develop, deliver, and evaluate security education, training, and awareness for cleared and non‑cleared staff (initial, annual refresher). - Generate monthly security metrics and coordinate with other NS2 locations. - Facilitate meetings: ordering food, preparing supplies, and managing setups/cleanup. Required Skills: - 5+ years industrial security experience with a government contractor. - In‑depth knowledge of NISPOM/32 CFR 117, DISS, NISS. - Familiarity with CUI, ITAR/EAR regulations. - Experience interfacing with DCSA, government customers, and senior management. - Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and leadership capabilities. - Basic knowledge of Avigilon camera systems is a plus. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in security, business administration, or related field (or equivalent experience). - U.S. Secret clearance (must be eligible to obtain, U.S. citizenship).
