Machine Learning Engineer
**Role Summary**
Design, develop, and deploy state‑of‑the‑art multimodal machine learning models for automotive applications. Work closely with research teams, external partners, and cross‑functional stakeholders to translate cutting‑edge AI research into production‑ready solutions on cloud, edge, and embedded platforms.
**Expectations**
- Deliver high‑quality, well‑documented code and maintain reproducible research artifacts.
- Contribute to peer‑reviewed publications at top conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR, ECCV).
- Build proof‑of‑concept prototypes and iterate quickly under tight timelines.
- Demonstrate strong collaboration, communication, and ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design and implement advanced multimodal models, including large language models (LLMs) and vision‑language models (VLMs).
- Keep abreast of the latest deep‑learning research and integrate relevant advances into production workflows.
- Optimize models for inference on cloud, edge, and embedded hardware, ensuring latency, throughput, and resource constraints are met.
- Develop, test, and maintain robust codebases in Python, using PyTorch and Hugging Face libraries; C++ skills are a plus.
- Collaborate with researchers and external partners to refine model architectures and evaluation protocols.
- Produce technical documentation, model specifications, and reproducible notebooks.
- Participate in scientific writing and conference presentations.
**Required Skills**
- Proficiency in Python; experience with PyTorch, Hugging Face, and related deep‑learning frameworks.
- Strong understanding of multimodal learning, large‑scale language models, and vision‑language integration.
- Experience in model optimization, quantization, and deployment on cloud/edge/embedded platforms.
- Familiarity with version control (Git), continuous integration, and automated testing pipelines.
- Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams under pressure.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field, with a research‑focused thesis, **or** PhD level with proven publications in top AI conferences.
- Demonstrated track record of scientific research and publication.
