Job Description
**Job Title** Internal IT Engineer **Role Summary** Provide tier‑3 internal IT support for a growing technology firm, managing Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, M365, Intune, DNS, and network services. Lead incident, problem, and change management, reduce technical debt, automate processes, and maintain high customer satisfaction. **Expectations** - Deliver 3rd‑line support within defined SLA/OLAs. - Act as escalation point and mentor peers. - Obtain SC and NPPV security clearances. - Work occasional weekends/evens and participate in on‑call rota. **Key Responsibilities** - Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, Entra ID, Intune, and external DNS. - Respond to and resolve internal IT tickets, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement long‑term fixes. - Develop and maintain technical documentation and end‑user guides. - Automate repetitive tasks using scripting tools (PowerShell preferred). - Contribute to service improvement initiatives and ITIL‑based processes. - Collaborate with Service Desk, Security, Compliance, and Network teams. - Support integration of acquired organisations and reduce technical debt. - Identify and mitigate security risks and enforce compliance frameworks. **Required Skills** - 2+ years of SME second‑line or higher support experience. - Strong Windows Server, AD, Group Policy, Intune, Entra ID, DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP, and network troubleshooting skills. - Proficiency in PowerShell and automation tools. - Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills. - Effective communication with technical and non‑technical stakeholders. - Ability to work independently and own tasks to completion. **Required Education & Certifications** - Minimum IT, Information Systems, or related bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience). - ITIL Foundation certificate (preferred). - ServiceNow experience (beneficial).
