Job title: Senior Software Engineer Role Summary: Autonomous backend engineer responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable partner integration services on a cloud‑native stack. Works end‑to‑end on API development, validation, queuing, retries, and processing within a fast‑moving, startup‑style environment. Expactations: - Deliver fully functional services that integrate with external partners (REST APIs, webhooks, lightweight plugins). - Own feature lifecycle from specification to production deployment. - Adapt to shifting priorities and deliver timely builds in a short‑cycle rhythm. - Act as a single‑person contributor while collaborating with product and engineering principals. Key Responsibilities: - Design, implement, and maintain backend services using Node.js and TypeScript. - Develop REST APIs and partner integration endpoints (e.g., webhooks, SDKs). - Manage data validation, message queuing, retry logic, and response handling. - Deploy and scale services in a GCP environment, leveraging cloud‑native services. - Write CI/CD pipelines and maintain automated testing, monitoring, and logging. - Work closely with product, operations, and external partner stakeholders to clarify requirements and deliver solutions. - Conduct code reviews, maintain code quality, and mentor junior contributors as needed.
