**Job title:** Lead DevOps Engineer (F/H)
**Role Summary:**
Lead and manage a small DevOps/SRE team (3–4 engineers) to design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud and on‑premises infrastructure. Own architectural decisions, operational practices, and technical mentorship, while collaborating closely with development and product groups.
**Expectations:**
- 8–10 years of infrastructure/DevOps/SRE experience with proven leadership of a team.
- Deep expertise in Microsoft stack, Azure cloud, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and observability tools.
- Strong scripting, IaC, and security practices.
- Ability to drive capacity planning, performance optimisation, and operational excellence.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Lead, coach, and evaluate a 3–4 engineer DevOps team.
2. Define and enforce infrastructure best practices (IaC, CI/CD, security, observability).
3. Oversee provisioning, maintenance, and evolution of dev, staging, and production environments.
4. Manage capacity planning and resource utilisation.
5. Ensure uptime, reliability, reproducibility, and security of environments.
6. Coordinate with development, product, and operations stakeholders; document architecture and procedures.
7. Participate in talent acquisition and staff performance management.
8. Contribute to architecture design, platform sizing, and performance tuning.
9. Maintain CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or equivalent) and GitOps workflows.
10. Deploy and manage observability stack (Grafana, Prometheus, APM tools).
**Required Skills:**
- Microsoft technologies: Windows Server, IIS, SQL Server (advantage).
- Azure cloud fundamentals and advanced services.
- Containerization & orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes.
- IaC & configuration: Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
- CI/CD & GitOps using Azure DevOps or equivalent.
- Scripting: Bash, Python, PowerShell.
- Observability: Grafana, Prometheus, APM (NewRelic, Datadog).
- Networking & security: DNS, TLS, SecOps best practices.
- FinOps knowledge.
- Strong leadership, communication, pedagogical, and team‑building skills.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Minimum Bac +5 (Bachelor’s + 5 years) or equivalent in Computer Science, IT Engineering, or related field.
- Professional certifications in DevOps, Cloud (Microsoft Azure), Kubernetes, or related areas are desirable.
