**Job Title:** Cloud System Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Maintain and modernize enterprise server and cloud environments, ensuring high availability, security, and operational excellence. Lead the design, deployment, and optimization of Azure and AWS infrastructures, including hybrid solutions, while automating processes and supporting large‑scale migration projects.
**Expectations:**
- Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in challenging IT environments, ideally with large accounts.
- Conversational English proficiency.
- Detail‑oriented, agile, proactive, and strong written communication skills.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Operate and sustain production server and cloud infrastructures (Azure, AWS, hybrid).
- Resolve complex Level‑3 incidents and user requests.
- Deploy, manage, and optimize Azure/AWS and hybrid environments (including VMware, Hyper‑V, Nutanix, VSAN, Simplivity).
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell and Terraform; participate in CI/CD pipeline implementation.
- Implement security controls (antivirus, EDR/XDR, bastion, cloud backups) and enforce hardening best practices (ISO, NIS2, GDPR, SecOps).
- Contribute to modernization and cloud‑migration projects, providing technical guidance and recommendations.
**Required Skills:**
- Proficiency with Windows (primary) and Linux administration.
- Experience with VMware, Hyper‑V, and virtualisation management.
- Strong knowledge of Azure and AWS services, including networking, storage, and compute.
- Script development in PowerShell and Terraform.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and pipelines.
- Understanding of security frameworks and compliance standards (ISO, NIS2, GDPR, SecOps).
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Relevant certifications preferred: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator/Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, VMware Certified Professional, or equivalent security certifications.
