Job Description

**Job title**: Information Technology Engineer **Role Summary**: Virtualisation Engineer with active security clearance to deliver expert support and project assistance for VMware environments, Windows Server infrastructure, and HPE datacentre assets. **Expectations**: - Maintain 1‑week on‑call duty per month in addition to BAU responsibilities. - Join immediately on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. **Key Responsibilities**: - Provide level‑1/2 support for VMware vSphere and VMware Horizon deployments. - Administer and troubleshoot Windows Server 2012(R2), 2016 and 2019, including Active Directory and Group Policy. - Support HPE servers within the datacentre. - Contribute technical assistance to infrastructure projects. - Perform on‑call and BAU support as required. - Communicate client issues and solutions clearly, collaborating within the team. **Required Skills**: - Hands‑on expertise in VMware vSphere and VMware Horizon. - Strong Windows Server administration (2012‑2019) and Active Directory proficiency. - Solid understanding of networking fundamentals. - Experience with SCCM preferred. - Excellent client‑facing communication and teamwork. **Required Education & Certifications**: - Active security clearance. - VMware Certified Professional (VCP) for vSphere and Horizon (expert level). - Relevant qualifications in Windows Server and networking (e.g., Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert).
