**Job Title:** Python Developer – Cross‑Asset Trading
**Role Summary:**
Build and maintain high‑performance, real‑time Python applications that support trading, risk management, and analytics across multiple asset classes (FX, Equities, Swaps, Rates, Credit). Collaborate closely with traders, sales, and quant teams to prototype, deliver, and iterate solutions rapidly.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver robust, scalable tools within tight deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with IT and regulatory standards.
- Continuously improve performance and usability of trading and risk solutions.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Partner with front‑office stakeholders to capture requirements and produce fit‑for‑purpose solutions.
- Design, develop, and maintain Python‑based trade capture, risk management, and analytics tools.
- Integrate applications with pricing engines, market‑data feeds, and trade booking systems across FX, Rates, Credit, and Equities.
- Create dashboards and visualisations for market and risk data using modern front‑end frameworks.
- Validate and test code for robustness, scalability, and regulatory compliance.
**Required Skills:**
- Proficient in Python (3.x) with experience in rapid prototyping and data‑driven applications.
- Strong knowledge of multiprocessing, AsyncIO, and concurrent programming.
- Expertise in pandas, NumPy, SQL, and data transformation pipelines.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, messaging systems, and integration into trading/risk platforms.
- Experience building front‑end tools or GUIs (web or desktop).
- Ability to work directly with traders, sales, and quant teams.
- Solid problem‑solving skills and ability to meet tight delivery schedules.
- Understanding of financial products (FX, Rates, Credit, Equities) and the trade lifecycle, including P&L and risk metrics.
- Experience with Excel integration (VBA, xlwings, COM).
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
