Job Description

Job title: IT Hardware Coordinator Role Summary: Coordinate the end-to-end preparation and deployment of laptops, tablets, and mobile devices for new users, ensuring devices are fully configured, tested, and logged in an asset system. Work under the IT Support Lead and a small team to deliver high‑quality hardware services within a fast‑paced environment. Expactations: - Deliver hardware configuration and deployment within defined turnaround times. - Maintain accurate inventory records and resolve discrepancies. - Escalate unresolved hardware issues promptly. - Adhere to established processes and security standards when applying OS images. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and configure devices using Microsoft Intune (Endpoint Manager). - Apply standard operating system images and configurations. - Conduct thorough functional testing before hand‑off to end‑users. - Troubleshoot and resolve device‑related hardware issues or queue them for specialist support. - Log all activities and asset details in ServiceNow. Required Skills: - Proven experience in IT hardware setup and deployment. - Working knowledge of Microsoft Intune/Endpoint Manager. - Strong troubleshooting abilities and meticulous attention to detail. - Ability to collaborate effectively within a small team. - Familiarity with asset and activity tracking systems (e.g., ServiceNow). Required Education & Certifications: - Minimum of a GCSE/GED or equivalent; higher technical qualification preferred. - Relevant ICT or IT support certifications (e.g., ITIL Foundation, CompTIA A+) are advantageous.
