Automation Engineering Intern 2026
Role Summary
Engage in a 9‑week global internship focused on test automation and QA for fixed‑income data products within an Agile Scrum environment. Collaborate with developers, architects, and product managers to design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts, enhance testing frameworks, and support CI/CD pipelines.
Expectations
• Complete coursework for a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, with 2‑3 semesters remaining.
• Demonstrate legal authorization to work in the U.S. without future visa sponsorship.
• Exhibit a strong foundation in programming, testing, and system design, coupled with effective communication and teamwork skills.
Key Responsibilities
1. Analyze business requirements and develop test plans, test cases, and testing strategies for new and existing features.
2. Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts using Java and relevant automation frameworks.
3. Execute manual and automated tests, analyze results, and document defects and risks.
4. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback on automation quality.
5. Work with developers and QA to triage defects and ensure high‑quality releases.
6. Contribute to improvement of test frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and QA standards.
7. Collaborate on software design discussions and provide time estimates for tasks.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Java programming and familiarity with Spring Boot or similar server‑side Java frameworks.
- Knowledge of test automation tools/frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber).
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and relational database concepts (Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
- Experience with Linux or Windows operating systems.
- Basic exposure to browser‑based technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React/AngularJS, AJAX).
- Interest in cloud technologies and AWS design patterns.
- Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, problem‑solving, and interpersonal skills.

- Currently enrolled in a full‑time bachelor’s or master’s degree program (Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field) with 2‑3 semesters remaining.
