Job Description
**Job title** Product Support Engineer – Rail **Role Summary** Provide preventive, scheduled and corrective maintenance on rail products to contract specifications, support customer sign‑off, and contribute to continuous improvement and safety standards. Operate across multiple depots, drive quality documentation, and use digital systems for work management. **Expectations** - Deliver maintenance work within agreed schedules and contractual obligations. - Demonstrate proactive problem‑solving, strong initiative, and safety‑focused mindset. - Collaborate effectively with teams and customers to achieve high service quality. - Maintain accurate documentation, parts usage records, and system data entry. - Respond to 24/7 service calls and mobile engineering requirements as needed. **Key Responsibilities** - Perform preventive, scheduled, and corrective maintenance on rail equipment. - Execute fault finding and repairs using technical drawings and guides. - Attend customer meetings for sign‑off of completed work. - Complete documentation for all activities, ensuring traceability for company and customer. - Participate in continuous improvement and HSQE processes. - Maintain cleanliness and safety of onsite facilities. - Attend required training courses to keep skills current. - Work 24/7 shifts, including call‑outs; operate as a mobile engineer with company van. - Report parts usage in line with inventory control procedures. - Utilize IT systems (Go!Care, C4S, eWeb, Go!Manage, Diasys, Outlook, etc.). **Required Skills** - Engineering background with relevant technical qualifications. - Strong organisational and flexible work habits. - Proactive, initiative‑driven, and safety‑conscious. - Collaborative team player with effective communication. **Required Education & Certifications** - Degree or equivalent in Engineering or related field. - Relevant technical certifications preferred (e.g., rail technology, maintenance management).
