Job Description
**Job Title:** HGV Class 1 Driver **Role Summary:** Competent driver responsible for delivering and collecting high‑volume grocery products across the UK from Ocado Logistics' large Customer Fulfilment Centres (CFCs) and regional warehouses. Operates a state‑of‑the‑art HGV fleet, including natural‑gas‑powered vehicles, ensuring timely, safe, and efficient transport of goods to various destinations. **Expectations:** - Maintain a clean driving record (≤ 6 penalty points, no disqualifications in past 10 years). - Operate all shifts flexibly, including overnight, early morning, late‑night, and weekend schedules. - Consistently adhere to safety and operational standards. - Accept route assignments up to 12.5 hours daily, with additional hours as required. **Key Responsibilities:** - Load, secure, and unload goods at CFCs and regional sites. - Navigate predetermined routes to deliver and collect products to/from a variety of locations. - Perform pre‑departure and post‑arrival vehicle inspections, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory checks. - Use digital tachograph facilities and maintain accurate driving logs. - Follow all company safety protocols, including use of extra safety technology on vehicles. - Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers regarding delivery status and any delays. - Collaborate with maintenance teams to report vehicle faults or safety concerns. **Required Skills:** - Strong knowledge of UK road rules and HGV routing. - Excellent time‑management and reliability in meeting delivery windows. - Ability to work independently and in a team environment. - Clear communication skills, both verbal and written. - Basic computer literacy for electronic logkeeping and route planning. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Category C+E HGV driving licence. - Minimum of 6 months practical HGV driving experience (preferred). - Valid Driver Medical Certificate (issued through accepted supplier). - Completion of Periodic CPC training (provided by employer). ---

Job Description
**Job Title** HGV (C+E) Driver **Role Summary** Operate the company fleet to collect and deliver goods to Customer Fulfilment Centres and regional sites across the UK.
