Job Description: Job Title: Lead DevOps Engineer Role Summary: Own and lead the DevOps function for a global pharma consulting service, building and improving Azure infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines to enable faster, safer software delivery while promoting a shift‑left culture and mentoring engineers. Expectations: Define and drive the DevOps vision, set standards and best practices, align initiatives with engineering, product, and business goals, ensure high‑quality engineering practices, and foster continuous improvement across cross‑functional teams. Key Responsibilities: • Lead design and implementation of scalable, secure, and reliable Azure infrastructure and delivery pipelines. • Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines for multiple applications using Azure DevOps, Terraform, and Helm. • Drive automation, observability, and shift‑left practices across teams. • Mentor engineers, facilitate knowledge sharing, and advocate DevOps culture. • Communicate effectively with engineering, product, and business stakeholders. • Evaluate new technologies and digital services for organizational impact. Required Skills: • 6+ years in DevOps/Cloud/Platform Engineering; 2+ years in technical leadership. • Strong hands‑on Microsoft Azure experience (VMs, networking, storage, AKS, App Services, Key Vault). • Production Kubernetes expertise. • Infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform, Helm). • CI/CD experience, ideally with Azure DevOps. • Functional coding ability (Golang, Python, PowerShell, or Bash). • Deep understanding of networking, security, and cloud architecture. • Experience in cross‑functional engineering teams. • Familiarity with observability platforms; knowledge of Cloudflare/Edge/WAF and LLMs is a plus. Required Education & Certifications: • Minimum 5 GCSEs at grades A–C (9–4), including Maths and English, or equivalent high school diploma. • Relevant cloud or DevOps certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure Solutions Architect, or equivalent) preferred but not mandatory.
