Job Description

Job Title: Fire & Security Service Engineer Role Summary: Maintain, troubleshoot, and service fire, intruder alarm, CCTV, and access control systems across assigned sites, ensuring compliance with current standards and customer specifications. Provide high‑quality customer service and support site visits and emergency response. Expectations: * Deliver world‑class customer service and communication. * Meet scheduled routine and reactive service call targets. * Keep personal stock and tools in readiness. * Attend training, team meetings, and pursue personal development. Key Responsibilities: * Inspect, maintain, and repair fire alarm, intruder alarm, CCTV, and access control systems (e.g., Notifier, HIKVISION, Paxton). * Respond to service calls for fault diagnosis, alarm activation, and system adjustments. * Plan and execute routine site visits and urgent interventions. * Coordinate with customers on scheduling and communication. * Manage, replenish, and report stock levels with Stores support. * Participate in engineering team meetings, training sessions, and development reviews. * Identify and recommend system upgrades or replacements as needed. Required Skills: * Technical background in electrical/electronic engineering. * Comprehensive knowledge of fire and security systems (fire, intruder, CCTV, access). * Strong organisational and time‑management abilities. * Professional, presentable demeanor and excellent customer service skills. * Ability to work independently, responding to routine and emergency calls. Required Education & Certifications: * Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field. * Valid electrical or fire‑systems certification (e.g., EMT, FLC) preferred. * Current driver’s licence and ability to travel to multiple sites.
