**Job title**
Senior BI / Data Engineer Consultant – BO/BODS
**Role Summary**
Provide end‑to‑end BI and data engineering services on SAP BusinessObjects (BO) and BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS). Design, develop and optimize ETL pipelines, data warehouses, and dashboards to meet client demands across multiple sectors. Serve as technical lead, project collaborator, and end‑user trainer.
**Expectations**
- Minimum 3 years of non‑internship experience in BI/data engineering with proven delivery in project, maintenance or implementation settings.
- Deep expertise in SAP BO (Design Studio, Web Intelligence, Dashboard Designer) and BODS (ETL, data profiling, data quality).
- Demonstrated ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, curiosity for emerging BI technologies, and willingness to adopt new methods.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and instructional skills for user training.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design, develop and maintain robust, high‑performance ETL processes in BODS.
- Build, evolve and tune data warehouses and dimensional models supporting BI reporting.
- Analyze and interpret client requirements, propose tailored solutions, and manage scope of work.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (data architects, developers, business analysts) to deliver integrated data marts.
- Develop and maintain BO reports, dashboards, and data services; perform performance tuning.
- Deliver knowledge transfer sessions, prepare documentation, and provide ongoing user support.
- Act as a proactive advisor on best practices, emerging technologies, and process improvements.
**Required Skills**
- SAP BusinessObjects Suite (incl. Design Studio, Web Intelligence, Dashboard Designer).
- SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (ETL engine, data profiling, quality rules).
- SQL (Relational databases: Oracle, SQL Server, etc.), database design, and performance tuning.
- Data modeling concepts (dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas).
- ETL methodology, data integration patterns, and data quality practices.
- Strong analytical and debugging skills, with a detail‑oriented mindset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in French and English (fluent).
- Training delivery experience and client‑centric service orientation.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or related field.
- Relevant certifications in SAP BO or BODS are preferred (e.g., SAP Certified Application Associate – BusinessObjects Enterprise 4.x, SAP Certified Application Specialist – BusinessObjects Business Intelligence (BI) 4.x).
