**Job Title:** Export Logistics Coordinator – Air
**Role Summary:**
Coordinate and manage all air export activities, ensuring accurate documentation, regulatory compliance, and on‑time delivery of shipments to international destinations. Serve as the primary liaison between customers, internal teams, freight forwarders, and customs authorities to maintain seamless export operations.
**Expectations:**
- Process export shipments efficiently and within established timelines.
- Maintain 100% compliance with local, national, and international trade regulations.
- Deliver high‑quality customer service and proactive communication.
- Continuously identify and implement process improvements to reduce lead times and costs.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Prepare and submit export documents (export declarations, bills of lading, packing lists, commercial invoices).
- Verify document accuracy, HS code classification, and compliance with customs and sanction rules.
- Monitor shipment status, resolve delays, and coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers.
- Manage vendor relationships: obtain quotes, compare rates, review invoices, and ensure contract terms are met.
- Serve as the main point of contact for customers, providing updates and addressing export‑related inquiries.
- Enter and maintain export data in logistics systems; generate performance reports on on‑time delivery, cost efficiency, and compliance.
- Maintain organized records for audits and regulatory reviews.
- Identify risks, implement mitigation strategies, and stay current on regulatory changes.
- Participate in process‑improvement initiatives to streamline workflows and reduce errors.
**Required Skills:**
- Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and HS coding.
- Proficiency with logistics/transport management software (e.g., SAP TM, Oracle, CargoWise).
- Excellent written and verbal communication; customer‑focused attitude.
- Detail‑oriented with high accuracy in documentation and data entry.
- Ability to negotiate and manage vendor/carrier relationships.
- Problem‑solving and decision‑making skills under time‑critical conditions.
- Organizational skills to handle multiple shipments simultaneously.
- Basic financial acumen for invoice review and cost analysis.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, Logistics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Preferred: Certified International Trade Professional (CITP), Import‑Export Certificate, or similar trade compliance certification.
- Familiarity with Incoterms 2020 and export control licensing (e.g., EAR, ITAR) is advantageous.
