Job Description: **Job title** ESG Quant Analyst Intern – Model Focus (F/M) **Role Summary** Support the development, testing, and automation of Candriam’s proprietary ESG scoring models, including sovereign and corporate components. Apply data‑science and AI techniques to enhance ESG research and production pipelines in a cloud environment. **Expectations** - 6‑month internship starting March 2026. - Work autonomously within a cross‑functional ESG research team. - Deliver high‑quality code, data models, and documentation. - Communicate findings clearly in French and English. **Key Responsibilities** - Design and build the ESG Sovereign scoring model from research to production. - Generalize a text‑classification AI tool for corporate activity scoring. - Test ESG use cases with external Generative AI solutions. - Automate the production pipeline using Azure Synapse. - Contribute to other team projects and knowledge sharing. **Required Skills** - Master’s candidate in Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Finance, or related quantitative field. - Strong Python skills (pandas, NumPy, scikit‑learn). - Solid foundation in statistics, data preprocessing, feature engineering, and data mining. - ML fundamentals (classification, regression, model evaluation). - NLP experience: text classification and/or Large Language Models. - Cloud familiarity (Azure Synapse, Azure Foundry) preferred; Power BI knowledge is a plus. - Excellent analytical, synthesis, and problem‑solving abilities. - Proactive, autonomous, detail‑oriented, collaborative. - Fluent in French and English (C1 level). **Required Education & Certifications** - Minimum Master’s Degree (Bac+4) in Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Finance, or a closely related quantitative discipline.
