**Job title**
Cloud GCP & Governance Architect (H/F)
**Role Summary**
Senior architect responsible for designing, deploying, and governing cloud environments across Google Cloud Platform and Azure. Leads the definition and enforcement of engineering standards (security, CI/CD, observability, quality) while driving automation and platform reliability.
**Expectations**
* Proven experience as a cloud architect and DevOps leader in enterprise environments.
* Strong expertise in GCP, Azure, Terraform, GitHub Actions, and observability tooling.
* Demonstrated ability to shape and enforce technical standards across a multi‑team organization.
* Excellent communication and change‑management skills to guide development teams toward cloud‑native practices.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Design and automate cloud foundations (landing zones, IAM, networking, secrets) for GCP and Azure using Terraform.
2. Build and maintain golden path templates for applications, CI/CD pipelines, security, and quality using GitHub Actions.
3. Define and implement observability standards (dashboards, alerts, tracing, centralized logs) with Datadog and related tools.
4. Deploy and manage CI/CD, monitoring, and quality tools (GitHub, SonarCloud, Datadog).
5. Mentor development teams on DevOps best practices and facilitate adoption of cloud and DevSecOps workflows.
6. Lead gradual migration of legacy applications to the cloud, ensuring minimal disruption.
7. Champion continuous improvement of platform governance and contribute to the strategic roadmap.
**Required Skills**
* Cloud engineering: Google Cloud Platform (Compute, Kubernetes, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub), Azure (Azure AD, Azure DevOps, Azure Kubernetes Service).
* Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Azure ARM/Bicep, GCP IaC.
* CI/CD & Automation: GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines, GitLab CI, Jenkins.
* Observability & Monitoring: Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Wavefront, OpenTelemetry.
* DevSecOps practices: IaC security, secrets management, scanning with tools such as SonarCloud, Snyk, Trivy.
* Strong scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
* Security and compliance fundamentals (SOC2, GDPR, ISO 27001).
* Excellent stakeholder management, collaborative mindset, and continuous delivery mindset.
**Required Education & Certifications**
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
* Professional cloud certifications: GCP Professional Cloud Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or equivalent.
* Terraform Certified Engineer (any level) is preferred.
* DevOps / CI-CD certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert) are beneficial.
