Job Title: Principal Cloud Practice Architect
Role Summary: Lead strategic design and deployment of resilient, secure, and scalable network solutions across on‑premises, hybrid, and multi‑cloud environments. Mentor junior staff, collaborate cross‑functionally, and optimize architecture for performance, security, and cost.
Expectations: Deliver end‑to‑end network blueprints, ensure adherence to industry security standards, maintain high availability, and drive continuous performance improvement. Provide technical leadership and guidance across projects and teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design comprehensive network architecture blueprints for on‑premises, hybrid, and multi‑cloud deployments.
- Lead implementation of routing, switching, firewalls, and load balancing across AWS, GCP, Azure, and on‑prem platforms.
- Architect connectivity between data centers and cloud resources (Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, Transit Gateway, etc.).
- Implement secure network segmentation, access controls, threat protection, and Zero‑Trust principles.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network performance for low latency and high throughput.
- Deploy SD‑WAN solutions, managing traffic steering and remote site connectivity.
- Design and implement CDN strategies using AWS CloudFront and Azure Front Door.
- Produce and maintain detailed network diagrams, design documents, and operational procedures.
- Mentor junior network professionals and provide technical guidance.
Required Skills
- Deep expertise in AWS (VPC, Subnets, Route Tables, Internet/Gateway, NAT, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, VPC Peering).
- Proficient with Azure (VNet, Subnets, Route Tables, Virtual Network Gateway, ExpressRoute, Virtual WAN, VNet Peering).
- Advanced knowledge of Palo Alto Networks firewalls (Panorama) and F5 BIG‑IP (LTM, GTM).
- Strong experience with SD‑WAN from vendors such as Prisma, Fortinet, Cisco.
- Knowledge of CDN, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, WAF, and DDoS mitigation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
Required Education & Certifications
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional level if possible).
- Relevant network and security certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNP, Palo Alto PA‑OS, F5 BIG‑IP).
