Job Description
Firmware Engineer Role Summary: 6-month contract in embedded firmware development for advanced robotics, requiring hands-on hardware-software integration and collaboration with cross-disciplinary engineering teams. Focus on high-profile project delivery for an international client. Expectations: Onsite work required (daily presence at engineering office). Minimum 5+ years commercial embedded/firmware experience. Self-directed problem-solving in dynamic, deadline-driven environment. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and optimize firmware for robotic embedded systems - Implement hardware-software integration for electronics and mechanical components - Debug motor control systems, sensor arrays, and communication interfaces - Document technical solutions for project transition and ongoing development - Support firmware testing, automation, and performance validation Required Skills: - Proficient in C/C++ for embedded applications - Microcontroller architecture expertise (STM32/ARM preferred) - In-depth knowledge of SPI, I2C, UART, CAN communication protocols - Python scripting for test automation and validation - Hardware-software debugging tools (logic analyzers, oscilloscopes) - Commercial firmware development lifecycle experience Required Education & Certifications: Not specified by employer.
