Job Description
**Job title:** Solution/Application Architect **Role Summary:** Architect responsible for designing, standardizing, and overseeing scalable IT application solutions for an international insurance organization, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and business objectives. **Expectations:** - Deliver architecture designs that meet functional, performance, and security requirements. - Define and enforce architectural standards, including backup, disaster recovery, and security guidelines. - Collaborate across development, change, and business teams to ensure successful implementation and smooth transition of new solutions. - Evaluate emerging technologies for applicability to business problems. - Communicate complex architectural concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. - Operate fluently in French, English, and a secondary national language. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. Design efficient, scalable IT solutions that satisfy business needs. 2. Establish architecture standards and best‑practice guidelines (security, backup, DR). 3. Partner with IT teams and project managers to align solutions with strategic goals. 4. Lead implementation oversight, coordinating with development and Business Change Office to ensure adherence to plans. 5. Plan and manage the transition to new technologies. 6. Resolve complex architecture issues promptly and effectively. 7. Analyze user requirements, model solutions (BPMN and other tools). 8. Evaluate new technologies and recommend integration where appropriate. **Required Skills:** - Mastery of TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture methodology. - Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture principles and IT security best practices. - Experience with BPMN and modeling tools. - Ability to analyze user needs, derive requirements, and design technical solutions. - Problem‑solving using data and analytical methods. - Excellent communication skills in French, English, and a second national language. - Ability to present architecture concepts clearly to diverse audiences. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience. - Certification in TOGAF (or similar architecture framework) strongly preferred. - Knowledge of the insurance sector is an advantage; development experience beneficial.
